Q.  How much time do you require to complete a project?

A.  The first part of the answer asks another question:  How much time do we have?  If we only have two days, I’ll complete the project in two days.  If, however, there’s time to do a little further research, I can use the extra time to good benefit for the overall project.  The point is that I can work to tight deadlines.

Q.  What is your rate structure?

A.  I work on a basic hourly fee structure – but I also sometimes accept assignments on a “project-rate” basis.  I always strive to assure that my clients get full and fair value out of whatever writing I do for them – so we always agree on a fee or progress payment before I submit an invoice.

Please don’t hesitate to call or e-mail and ask me about my rates, and how we might be able to work together.  I’m sure we’ll find a mutually agreeable common ground.

Q.  Can you take an existing presentation and bring it up to date – and/or adapt it for a different person to present?

A.  Absolutely – and it’s an excellent idea to hire a professional writer to do such adaptations of previous material.  The resulting presentation may well turn out to be even better than the original.

Q.  Do you work all over the United States?

A.  As a matter of fact (as today’s omnipresent e-communications allow us to do), I work all over the world – assuming any particular project is to be written in English, or at least worked through to a final draft in English prior to translation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  What background do you have that qualifies you to do these types of critical business writing?

A.  As an undergraduate college student, I majored in journalism – double-majoring in history (at Texas Christian University, or TCU, in Fort Worth, Texas).  I then went on to earn an M.B.A. from TCU, with academic emphases in marketing and economics.

While I was in graduate school, I worked as a sports reporter for the Fort Worth Press.  I also wrote sports for the Peoria Journal Star, then served in writing capacities with several major companies.  Based upon my studies and real-life experience, I learned excellent interview technique and how to budget my work schedule to meet tight deadlines.  And I learned how to write gripping copy that draws readers in.
